Discover how to grow fruits, veggies, and herbs year-round at your home or community garden. Discover the  importance of gardens to a healthy diet and sustainable lifestyle. Also enjoy some seasonal winter veggies prepared by dietetic interns from UNCG Nutrition Department.

Future Tech for Environmental Analysis
Monday, February 6,  7 - 8 pm
Zoom Program Sponsored by the Kathleen Clay Family Branch
Dr. Narcisa Pricope, Professor in the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences, UNCW will share how she and her students have used a broad range of technology to conduct environmental analysis. Discover how the tools of drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), GIS modeling, and remote sensing data are used to monitor environmental changes and the impacts of climate change on vulnerable populations. After we planned this program, I heard back from Dr. Narcisa Pricope, that she has been appointed to the three-year appointment with the United Nations to advise the UN Convention to Combat Desertification Science-Policy Interface:
