Two Upcoming Events at the Kathleen Clay Library - March 3rd and 14th

Sat., March 3rd, 1 – 2 pm – Women and Water
Come hear Jo Proia, Director of Women’s Programming from GET: OUTDOORS, will discuss how women can get started paddling, stay safe, and enjoy this sport.  Jo will share her favorite places from her book, Piedmont Lakes: A Practical Guide for Boating in the North Carolina Piedmont and other destinations statewide.

Wed., March 14th, 7 – 8:30 pm – Conversations with Kate Moore
Meet author, Kate Moore of the book, Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America’s Shining Women. Hear the  fascinating and horrifying history of radium in America.  Early 20th century scandal and the groundbreaking workers’ rights battle are presented in a fast-paced and inspiring history.
