Spartans for Science and Policy would like to invite you to the next segment of the NC Students for Science Policy Coalition Training Series event, NC Food Justice and Policy. Join us as we welcome Kamal Bell, CEO of Sankofa Farms LLC, and Dr. Lindsey Haynes-Maslow, Associate Professor and Extension Specialist in the Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences at NC State University. Together, we will learn more about food policy and justice here in North Carolina and throughout the U.S., how the pandemic has impacted food security and sparked justice movements, and ways we can come together to tackle food insecurity in our communities. This seminar will be interactive where at the end of our keynote speaker presentations we will break participants out into breakout rooms to discuss what food policy and justice activities are active in your communities.
