Join the North Carolina Wildlife Federation to learn how you can create a fun and dynamic haven for birds, butterflies, and other wildlife! Use native plants, supplemental feeders and water sources to provide the essential elements of a thriving wildlife habitat. After attending the session, participants will be able to create a sanctuary in their own backyards or any other property. Attendees will receive a certification application to join the National Wildlife Federation’s Certified Wildlife Habitat network, and may be eligible to receive a Certified Wildlife Habitat sign!
About the Presenter: Carol Buie-Jackson, owner of Wildology and Bird House on the Greenway, serves on the Board of the National Wildlife Federation and was the first female board chair of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. She is the co-founder of Habitat and Wildlife Keepers (HAWK), the Mathews chapter of the NC Wildlife Federation, and is also a Master Naturalist, Master Composter, and a National Wildlife Federation Habitat Steward. Carol is a Corporate America dropout and one of the lucky people whose passion is her profession, as well as what she does as a tourist and a volunteer.
