Triad VegFest - November 5 and 6

from the Sustain-L listserv:

Hi Folks,
We are in the process of organizing the very first Triad VegFest. and we thought that you may all like to know about it and some of you may even like to get involved as vendors or exhibitors.
There are several events taking place. The first is a screening of the new film Eating You Alive at Carmike 18, 4822 Koger Blvd, Greensboro on October 17 &19 @ 7 pm. I f you come to see the film, save your ticket stub and give it to us at the Triad VegFest Holiday Market Fair and you will be entered into the raffle to win one of several generous prizes that are being donated by Whole Foods, including a $100 gift certificate!
The actual festival takes place over the weekend of November 5 and 6. On the 5th, we will kick off with a book signing event with vegan ultramarathon runner and author, Charlie Engle, at Scuppernong Books, 304 S. Elm, between 10 am and 11am.

The Plant-Based Living for Peace and Sustainability symposium will begin at 1pm that same afternoon in the Sullivan Science Building on the UNCG campus. It will feature some very interesting talks as well as a mixer afterwards with the speakers and is being cosponsored by UNCG Sustainability. This event will conclude at 6pm.
The next morning, at 11am, the Triad VegFest Holiday Market Fair will take place at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market at 501 Yanceyville Street. It will feature lots of cool vegan food and gift items as well as cooking demos.

There is still time to get a table at the VegFest and we have really low rates compared to the other similar festivals, which have been happening around the state. This is because we are a volunteer run group and we are passing the savings of not having paid staff onto our vendors!
Remember be sure to go the film, Eating You Alive, at the Carmike (regular ticket prices) and bring your ticket stub to the market to get a free ticket for the raffle!

All the best and hope to see you at some, or all, of these events!
