Summer Haitian Adventure

I was given a great opportunity to do some mission work in Haiti this summer. Most of my time was spent working on developing a library at Pwoje Espwa, an orphanage in Les Cayes. At times it was difficult to get anything accomplished, with doubts and frustration more prominent than anything. But by the end of my five weeks, bookcases were in their place with shelving in protective plastic (protection against the mites and humidity). The library "room" finally came together!

I also had the opportunity to visit the National Library in Haiti and meet its director. What a blessing!
